NGC 7822. Originally Posted December 23, 2021

NGC 7822 is a large, star-forming region in the constellation of Cepheus. Some parts are very young, just a few million years old. If you look closely at the image, you can see "pillars of creation" type features, as well as "elephant trunk' features. Young proto-stars are forming in these regions.
